Gear Geeks is nominated for FLL Core Values Award

This is a very prestigious award that goes out to teams that went "above and beyond" to show the core values of FLL. If we get this award, we will go to the World Festival at the Georgia Dome, for Nationals. Only 10 - 12 teams out of 100's nominated are actually picked. Even if we are not chosen, it is still a great honor to be nominated. Our fellow FLL team, the Dark Hawks, nominated us. Thanks guys!

Congrats to the State Champions

Congratulations to the GA State Champions, the Transformers from Johnson Ferry Baptist
Church's Independent Study Program. What an awesome day we all had at the State Tournament with three teams scoring perfect 400 robot rounds! One of the biggest things we try to explain to all the teams we mentor is that winning a tournament is not just about robot performance. You can't overlook research, teamwork and sharing with others. Congrats Transformers for pulling together the "whole package." We'll be cheering you on at World Festival.
